Nishati Associates Directors on their behalf and on behalf of third parties have a professional workingexperience with the Ministry of Energy and other relevant Ministries including PMO, VPO, MNRT, TFSA, PORALG, Health, Education, Home Affairs and other pertinent organization such as TAREA, TANGSEN, academicians and development partners in Tanzania to develop sound Tanzania energy Visions, policies, Strategies, Action Plan, Budget, and clean cooking solutions inclusive.

In a Ministry of Energy meeting,the Director of Nishati Associates Limited actively participated and inputted on Tanzania’s Clean Cooking Vision and Strategy 2023.

In collaboration with NGOs such as TAREA, have participated in advocacy for implementingthe Net Metering Act of 2018 to TA NESCO, DPS, and MoE. Operationalization of net Metering would allow small RE producers to export surplus power for their small systems to the TANESCO grid, thereby earning money and allowing for more power producers to participate in inputting the national grid.

Nishati Associates Limited Co-director, who was part of the TAREA team on Net metering facilitating an event with TANESCO dialoguing on implementing the non-starterNet Metering Act of 2018 in Dodoma.in 2022.

Awareness creation

One Director who also serves as a Chairman of TACCS has engaged with TANGSEN to create awareness and demonstrate the performance of clean cooking solutions to officials of selected districts and local authorities in Tanzania regarding the potentials of clean cooking solutions. Technologies included improved cook stoves, briquette stoves, EPC, and electrical inductive stoves.

The same Director has also participated in the mapping of clean cooking stakeholders in Tanzania.

Quality Control and Standards

One of the Directors of Nishati Associates Limited is a member of the Tanzania Bureau of Standards Committee responsible for RE standards. He partakes in Renewable energy standards development and clean cooking inclusive. He is also a member of the MoE MEPS development committee.
